About Us
A corporate mindset. A guitarist's heart.
I'm Bruno Bittencourt — founder of Mbit Guitars. And yes, I run this entirely on my own.
That's not a disclaimer. It's the point.
By day, I work in corporate leadership. I have two kids, a full schedule, and exactly the kind of life that doesn't leave obvious room for building a guitar business from scratch. But the passion for the instrument demanded it anyway — and that obsession with getting things right became the foundation of everything Mbit is.
I started Mbit because I was tired of the gap between the gear that exists and the experience of finding it. Premium instruments deserve more than a product listing and a transaction. They deserve context, honesty, and someone who actually cares about the result.
What Mbit is, exactly
Mbit is a curated selection of premium electric guitars, hardware, and pickups — built around luthier partnerships and exclusive distribution that simply isn't available anywhere else in the US market.
I'm the exclusive US distributor for Ramme Hardware — a leading producer of precision stainless steel components, bridges, and 24K gold-plated parts made to a standard that most mass-market hardware can't match. Every bridge, saddle, and jack plate is built with intention.
Beyond hardware, I work directly with master luthiers whose instruments I genuinely believe in:
- Canalli Guitars — meticulously handcrafted custom shop instruments by Mateus Canalli
- Corsell Guitars — original designs from luthier Adriel Pagoto, blending retro inspiration with modern precision
- Kloppmann Electrics — tone specialists producing some of the finest pickups available anywhere
These aren't partnerships I fell into. They're relationships built on shared standards — premium tonewoods, careful craftsmanship, and a refusal to cut corners that I can actually vouch for.
What I'm actually trying to do
Guitar gear should be approachable, no matter where you are in your journey. I built Mbit to be the kind of resource I wished existed when I was figuring this out myself — honest about trade-offs, specific about materials, and never condescending about where someone is starting from.
I also believe the process of building your ideal instrument is part of the joy. The search, the research, the small upgrades that add up — that's not a chore to get through on the way to playing. It's part of the escape.
You'll find me regularly at events like the Dallas International Guitar Festival, where these conversations get real — away from product pages and into actual gear talk with people who care as much as I do.
The honest version
Mbit is small by size. It is not small by standard.
Every decision here is personal — because there's only one person making them. That means slower sometimes, more deliberate always. It means I will never list something I wouldn't buy myself, and I will never tell you a piece of gear is right for you if I don't believe it is.
If you have a question, I'll answer it. If I don't know, I'll say so and find out.
That's the whole thing.
