A Tribute to Classic Tone

Unlike the simpler designs of S-Style and T-Style pickups, Gibson-style humbuckers are a symphony of components and parameters, each subtly shaping the final tone. Recognizing this complexity, Kloppmann embarked on a meticulous journey in 2003, sourcing local artisans to craft each part to exacting standards. By Spring 2005, the first Kloppmann humbucker was born – a testament to dedication and precision. Inspired by the legendary 1958 Les Paul, and a personal connection to that very year, the HB 58 set was created, a true labor of love for discerning guitarists

HB 58

The HB 58, mirroring Peter Weihe's 1958 Les Paul Standard, delivers exceptional sparkling clarity in both neck and bridge positions. The neck's transparency preserves the guitar's core tone, while the bridge offers a tighter, more defined stringency. This clarity echoes the sound of 50s Blackguard Teles, exemplified by Dickey Betts' 'Jessica.'

HB 59

The HB 59 Set is Andreas' personal recreation of the iconic '59 PAF sound. Inspired by playing numerous original '59 Les Pauls, it captures the direct, earthy blues and rock tones of legendary players like Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, and Billy Gibbons.

HB SINNER & SAINT

Inspired by 80s hard & heavy rock and requests for more aggressive tone, Andreas developed hotter humbuckers after extensive testing. These pickups retain a PAF voicing but with more punch, juice, and aggressiveness. The neck offers Slash-like flute tones, while the bridge delivers heavy mids, bite, growl, and exceptional sustain.

Peter Weihe HB PW

The Grand Master Peter Weihe wanted highly sensitive pickups offering a vast array of sounds and emotions at differing settings of the volume control. To this end, Kloppmann created the HB-PW set. It covers all the bases and enchants with its bewitching tonal intensity. Whether creamy high gain or airy and clean, the HB-PW achieves an engaging balancing act. The emotion of searing lead sounds in the highest ranges in combination with clarity and definition on the lower strings, always adeptly avoiding any muddying of tones, is well beyond the reach of lesser pickups.
