Corsell Epic SC Black Bloom Relic

This is a guitar with a story.

Late last year, our partners at Corsell sent this specific Epic SC out on the Boutique Guitars Showcase Tour. It spent months traveling across the USA, being handled, played, and admired by enthusiasts at every stop. After the tour wrapped up, it made its way back home to us here at Mbit Guitars.

The Build

The foundation of this instrument is 40-year dried Genuine Mahogany used for both the top and back. It’s a semi-hollow construction that feels incredibly resonant and "alive" against your ribs. The finish is a Black Bloom Gloss Nitro, which has been given a tasteful relic treatment—part of it is factory-aged, and part of it is the honest soul earned from its time on the road.

Sound & Playability

We had this one spec’d with Customy P90 1954 pickups. They have that classic P90 growl—punchy and articulate, but they clean up beautifully with the volume knob. The neck is a comfortable Medium D profile, paired with reclaimed Rosewood and stainless steel frets, so the playability is effortless and built to last.

A Note on the Case

Because this guitar traveled the entire country as a showcase piece, the custom-made hardcase shows significant cosmetic wear. It’s been through airports and van pack-outs across the USA. While it isn't "mint" to look at, it is a custom-fit, high-quality case that remains 100% functional and serves as a badge of this guitar's history.
